Curious Heart Emporium is an oasis of a gift shop. Everything about it speaks of alternative, creative shopping. (People often come by just to cheer themselves up.) Located in a small yellow and green cottage, the front lawn contains large yard art sculptures of giraffes, flying saucers, three legged birds with musical bills, and bobbing head turtles.

The owners have crammed every cranny of their store with stuff ­ from exquisite to whimsical to whacky. Curious Heart Emporium has consistently been voted (by the Nashville Scene) the “Best Place To Find Something For Just About Anyone.” The owners scour North America and sometimes Europe for unique and always new merchandise and artisan pieces. There is a Christmas room that remains open all year with Krinkle ornaments and many other amazingly wondrous, sparkly things for the tree and the season.
